Our staycation experience begins with a 70’s Volkswagen Kombi from Scoopys and Cream pick-up from our house doorstep to Indo Café – the white house for a Peranakan lunch. This trip brings back the nostalgia feeling of vintage ride and classic foods.

Our Peranakan Family set lunch menu with Signature Trio Platter of Kueh Pie Tee, Ngoh Hiang and Nyonya Otah, served with Crackers, Achar and Sambal Belachan,
Delicious main dishes Inchi Kabin, Tau Eu Bak, Nyonya Chap Chye and Ikan Sambal Bunga Kantan, served with Fragance Jasmine Rice. All dishes are well cooked with flavorful Peranakan taste.

Hop onto Open-top Coach for Festive Light Tour around Orchard Road was one of staycation highlights! We enjoyed the bustling scene of orchard shopping crowd under the shine of annual Christmas light decorations along Orchard Road.
Lunch at TungLok Signatures
Enjoy a Classic Dim Sum lunch at TungLok Signatures at the hotel . Our favorite are the Smoked Australian Duck Meat and the classic Steamed Siew Mai and Prawn dumpling, Daily boiled Soup , Poached Cabbage and Spinach and Hokkien Braised Rice.
Singapore Botanic Garden – National Orchid Garden
Enjoy our way to Singapore Botanical Garden in a white VW Beetle from Scoopys and Cream.
Not the first time visit to National Orchid Garden in Singapore Botanicla Garden, but we enjoy the visit with new discovery and blooming of floras.
Leisure stroll in National Orchid Garden under the beautiful arch.
Enjoy the cooling temperature in The Sembcorp Cool House self-guided tour. The Cool House is designed to emulate a high elevation montane forest, which exists at altitudes of 1,000m to 2,000m, and with a surrounding temperature of 16 to 23 degrees Celsius.
Christmas Light Up at the Iconic Clock Tower! We have great time after dinner stroll under the magical lights around the garden.
Dinner at Halia Restaurant
The Halia Restaurant next to National Orchid Garden, is perfect dinner place after the visit for a sumptuous meal. We enjoyed the Lemongrass & Ginger Prawn Salad as appetizer, Halia’s Signature Chili Crab Spaghetti, and Seared Tuna Loin as our main courses. While BB Kai enjoyed his Breaded Fish & Chips with ice cream dessert.
