It was my very first media trip with Air Asia and this time round we were going to explore Bandung. If you already know, Bandung is one popular destination in Java Island Indonesia, with the balance of nature attraction (like mountain view, hot springs, volcanoes, etc) as well as fun activities such as cafe hopping and shopping. Good to know that Air Asia has direct flight to Bandung from Singapore or from Kuala Lumpur.

The House Tour Hotel
A new instagrammable place just a stone’s throw away from Nara Park, is this The House Tour Hotel green house. It was totally worth a visit for a quick snap.
Dago Bakery Punclut
We had a quick visit to Dago Bakery as well. Besides selling bakery and pastries, it is a fun place filled with cafes. Dago bakery famous with their castle structure where you can snap a picture there.
Dusun Bambu
One of the highlight on this trip is Dusun Bambu. Visit to Bandung will never be complete if you miss this place. Dusun Bambu is sooo beautiful in the evening! You can even visit the canopy walk when you arrive earlier. We came there for dinenr and arrived a bit late. The sky started to get dark alrd but we still managed to get few awesome shots there. And we also had our traditional dinner at Burangrang Restaurant there. I was totally in love with ambience there at night, i can hear the sound of nature (crickets and the friends, hehe).

BANDUNG DAY 3
Rise and Shine! I had an awesome morning breakfast at Sensa Hotel before we started our Day 3 at Bandung.
Old Railway Bridge (Sungapan Bridge)
On our way to Kawah Putih we stopped by this old railway bridge to snap some photos.
Kawah Putih (White Crater)
Another main highlight of our trip to Bandung is Kawah Putih. I’ve always want to visit this place and finally dream came true! Look at how poetic this place is! Such a beautiful turquoise colour sulphuric lake with mountain and blue sky at the background.. And the dried trees added the dramatic mood to the picture.
Kawah Putih is a sizeable highly acid lake (pH 0.5-1.3) which changes colour from bluish to whitish green, or brown, depending on the concentration of sulfur and the temperature or the oxidation state. The sand and rocks surrounding the lake have been also leached into whitish colours through interaction with the acidic lake waters (with possible mineral precipitation as well). The surrounding area is heavily forested. There is a pathway down to the lake which is surrounded by the high walls of the crater nestling into the side of Mount Patuha. The smell of sulfur is strong because there is a good deal of steam and sulfurous gas bubbling from the lake. (Source: Wikipedia)
Sugihmukti, Pasirjambu, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia
Pinishi Resto – Glamping Ciwidey Situ Patenggang
Lunch at Saung Gawir
We stopped by Saung Gawir for a traditional Sundanese lunch. It was really delicious! I really love with their fried fish and homemade chili! Not forgetting their little bamboo house (in Bahasa called “Saung”) for you to snap a photo.
After spent 5 hrs on the road back to Bandung town due to traffic and accident on the road, we skipped cafe hopping and we ended up at Braga Permai for western style dinner.

On this trip to Bandung i’ve got to try Air Asia Santan’s NEW special inflight meal INSPI(RED) Burger, in support of the fight to end AIDS. Created by New York-based (RED) Chef Ambassador Hong Thaimee, the burger draws on her Northern Thai roots to deliver a truly East-meets-West experience. It features a chicken patty infused with fish sauce, kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass, topped with zesty nam prik noom mayo (green chilli mayonnaise), shredded purple cabbage and tomato on a red beetroot bun. #AirAsiaSantan
